The Glitched Chronicles is my personal exploration into power and spirituality through a pop culture(ish) lens.

This is a rebirth of a creative project I started during the first Trump administration in 2017: using modern urban fantasy as a framework for discussing power systems and social justice.

What I wanted was to make these topics more accessible, since they often involve college-level jargon and can be emotionally heavy.

What I got was a few folks getting mad that I wanted to use play as a teaching tool.

Over the past year, I revisited that work and did some massive world-building. This included creating a narrative timeline spanning over 150 years, in which the events of each era influenced the next.

The saga spans the spectrum of occult fantasy settings: from the secret societies in Victorian England to the séance parlors of 1800's Central New York to the mishmash of the modern day.

There might be magic academia stuff.

There will definitely be a fringe community that teaches the metaphysics of Up-Up, Down-Down. Yes, I did figure out how to apply the Konami Code to elemental-based witchcraft.

On the power side, I wanted to explore this at both the individual and systemic levels. How can we improve the lives of those around us when faced with an established system? What does change look like, and when is revolution helpful rather than a gateway to something worse?
